Dear Friends,

I am sad to report that as of today, Subcircuit is ceasing operation as an online music distribution service.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported and believed in the site. Your encouraging words, ideas and discussions are still the highlight of the project for me. Thank you for your time and energy.

Thank you also to every artist who took the time to publish your music on the site. I wish you much success with your music.

I still believe there is a lot of room for improvement in the realm of music distribution for independent artists. I welcome ideas on how Subcircuit or I could further those improvements. Questions or comments can be directed to me via charles at subcircuit dot com.

My current hope is to publish lessons learned in the process of creating Subcircuit, in addition to potentially publishing the code base under an open source license.

But first... the process of closing up shop. Stay tuned...
